Earth Hour Malang - SWITCH OFF CEREMONY 2016 #NgalamPetengan with DU Group and ES File March 19

March 28, 2:54pm

Last Saturday, on March 19 2016, is personally my third year of joining Earth Hour Malang as a volunteer. Each year, Switch Off Ceremony surely gave me such different experiences in participating this annual global event.
This year, we (Earth Hour Malang volunteers) were having a huge creative concept of celebrating the switch off. Being sponsored by PT. BAIDU DIGITAL INDONESIA, we got a ceremony namely #NgalamPetengan with DU Group and ES File.

Different with last year, which we had candles formation of 60+, this year we were having pedal power which were connected (by LED) into the 60+ lights and Indonesian map. The pedal powers were creating energy of electricities made by LED. We got directly support from Brawijaya University student, named Muhammad Ilham Akbar, who is still majoring in Electrical Technic there. I am personally thank him due to his effort and time for making this possible.

Also, we had performances from SAFIR (Saman Fabulous Indonesian Art), Freestyle Soccer, OCARINESIA, VOIX Acapella, and STK Asri Kusuma. Not too mention that one of our Ambassadors this year was also performing, they are Wake Up Iris! Indie band originally from Malang.

Even though the weather was not really "friendly", we were still running the whole agenda quite well. Under the rain sky, we were together to shine a light on climate action.

Earth Hour is not only once a year, it is all about the symbolic action. Earth Hour is what we can give to our earth, to change our lifestyle, to save our planet, together.

By switching off the lights for one hour, it means we are already aware what we can save to what our next generation should be gotten. Started from now on, from small actions, and from ourself. Together, we can shine a light on climate action! (apa)

For you, F

"Aku kadang bingung, fungsi grup ini apa ya?"
Begitu celetukan salah satu sahabatku di grup Line geng kami. Ya, kami sangat dekat, hingga membuat kami terkesan nge-geng.
Sejak aku mengenalnya saat kelas 11, which is now we've been bestfriends for 5 years, aku selalu menganggapnya sahabat paling loyal.
Kangen tau." , atau , "Si X ulang tahun nih minggu depan, usahain luagin waktu yuk buat kumpul." , atau "Kalian ada yang free? Meet up yuk lama nih nggak ketemu."
Gitu"
Lalu dia meninggalkan grup Line kami.

Teruntuk yang dahulu sangat kuhargai,

Persahabatan.

Organic restaurants in Jakarta (by Niken Anggun Anggraini)

Nowadays, a lot people become more and more realize the benefit of healthy eating and organic foods, which was planted, grown and stored without artificial chemicals, such as pesticides, preservatives, coloring substances, and flavoring. This fact leads to the growing of organic restaurants to meet that needs.
Since cooking could be troublesome for some people, dining out or getting take-out foods from organic restaurants is actually a great solution. Here are some organic restaurants that you can find around Jakarta:

Healthy Choice
This restaurant provides various types of organic food menus, ranging from Indonesian dishes like oxtail soup to European dishes, such as organic pizza. At a first glance, their menus might sounds like junk foods, but the ingredients that are used are organic based and cooked without artificial seasonings.
The good thing about this restaurant is that you can easily find it in malls in Jakarta, such as Plaza Indonesia on 3rd floor, One Pacific Place Mall on the 5th floor and GF Bellagio Boutique Mall, all in South Jakarta.
Warung Kebunku
If you want to enjoy healthy organic dishes at affordable prices, you may want to try out this restaurant. Warung Kebunku, with their “from farm to table” concept, serves organic menus, which ingredients are fresh from their own garden. You can find it at Jl. Terogong Raya no.11, Cilandak Barat, Jakarta Selatan.

Warung Daun
Another restaurant with a great selection of organic Indonesian dishes! Warung Daun serves Sundanese foods with organic ingredients. Healthy comes first is the concept that brought out by the restaurant that is located at Jl. Wolter Monginsidi no.41 Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan. The restaurant’s owner even implements regulations that no plastic used in the restaurant and only using high-grade stainless steel kitchen appliances to maintain the quality of their foods.

Bellagio Organic Blood Type
Cuisine Have you ever thought that your food can actually be matched with your blood type? A restaurant in Mega Kuningan Jakarta, named Bellagio Organic Blood Type Cuisine, serves their customers with organic menus that based on their blood types. For example, if you are an A type, it is highly recommended for you to become vegetarian. A B type should limit, or avoid, chicken while O type should avoid dairy products. As for AB, lucky you, as it is said that you are able to easily adapt to any variety of diets.

So, dare to try?
